The Leprosy Mission International -Bangladesh (TLMI-B) and BASTOB has collaborated for the implementation of the project. BASTOB has offered to provide support and service to implement the “L360″ project by conducting some activities, whereas TLMI-B will provide financial and technical support to implement the project as responsible party. IGA Support: Two patients received goats, and one patient was provided with materials for agriculture to support their livelihoods and promote sustainable income generation.
World Leprosy Day: A successful World Leprosy Day event was organized in collaboration with the Government Health Department, 6 Upazila Office and 1 civil surgeon Office.
Capacity Building: Eight government health staff members received leprosy training to improve diagnosis and care.
Education and Awareness: Ten school sessions were held to educate students about leprosy and disability. Educational tools have been provided to assist 25 youngsters from a household stricken by leprosy. Three children with disabilities have been provided with financial support to continue their education.
Referral Network: Four leprosy patients with complications were referred to a specialized tertiary hospital for advanced treatment.
