Who We Are

BASTOB – Initiative for People’s Self-Development is a Non-profit, Non-political Voluntary Development Organization founded by a group of committed social activists on 4th July, 1997 in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

BASTOB is registered with the NGO Affairs Bureau, under the Prime Minister’s Office Societies Act under the Registered of Joint Stock Companies and with Microcredit Regulatory Authority (MRA).

BASTOB is working with 61,046 disadvantaged families in 9 Districts, 34 Sub-districts, 140 Unions/Municipalities, 1780 Villages/ Wards of Bangladesh with its 65 branch offices and 369 staffs.
